What’s better than starting your Sunday with a quiet walk in nature? The chance to catch the butterfly weed at peak bloom!
Join us at Monarch Meadow’s Nature Preserve on Sunday, July 7, at 9am. We’ll enjoy a one-hour walk through the pollinator habitat, where we’ll hope to see butterfly weed and other native wildflowers, and butterflies. Why are we starting so early? We’ll avoid the heat – and the butterflies should be more active than during the hotter parts of the day. Come enjoy a walk before church or your Sunday plans.
To find the preserve, just enter “Monarch Meadows” in Google Maps, or enter “2287 Dibble Rd, Rising Sun, IN 47040” into your GPS. The preserve is about 7 miles east of Rising Sun, near Highway 56.
This hike is part of our monthly series of casual hikes, led by volunteer Aimee Graves.
Be sure to bring along:
- Water bottle
- Hat and sunscreen
- Bug spray if you want it
See you there!
