March 6 – Nature & Farm Photo Exhibit

Date:
Time:

Over 270 photos were entered in this year’s Nature & Farm Photo Contest. Every shot had to be taken in Indiana – and every one makes us pause and consider the beauty of Indiana.

“We host the contest to get people thinking about the beauty here in southern Indiana. We hope people will ask themselves: what do we love about our community? How can we all help protect the beauty of Indiana forever?” says Liz Brownlee, Executive Director of Oak Heritage.

You can see the 40 top photos online by clicking here. But if you’re eager to see the winners of the Photo Contest in person, we’re taking this show on the road.

Stop by:

Southern Indiana Grazing Conference on March 6. For details, contact Daviess County SWCD office at 812-254-4780 ext. 3.

Whether in person or online, everyone is invited to vote one time, and one time only. Click here to vote.

Voting will end in March, after the photos have been exhibited around southern Indiana.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a one-year membership to Oak Heritage Conservancy.

“Our members are the backbone of our group,” says Brownlee. “Our members fund our nature preserves, our events for the public – and they enjoy getting to know other nature-lovers at our events.” To become a member and support conservation in southeast Indiana, click here.

The photo contest is a partnership with George Rogers Clark Land Trust. This project is made possible by the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
