The lake at Delaney Creek Park is not only one of my favorite fishing holes, it also is a great place to take pictures of all sorts of wildlife. During one of our trips to the park, I was kayak fishing around the tree stumps when I drifted too close to the area where a pair of Eastern King birds had their nest. The birds got upset and started dive bombing me while I was trying to get the fishing line untangled from a nearby tree limb. I captured this picture when they had stopped to rest before starting round three. Every time I look at the picture, I remember how hard my husband laughed as he watched the entire episode unfold in front of him.
