Meg Poehlmann – The Oxbow

I love the Oxbow and the diversity of species who visit and live there.  Great Blue Heron, while beautiful, are usually hard to photograph, but I was able to use vegetation as a shield and get this picture.  Even before I began to volunteer for Oxbow, Inc., it was special to me.  It’s where my husband asked me to marry him.  Now, as their first employee, I get to help preserve the Oxbow for everyone to enjoy and make their own memories.
