Aug 31 – Monthly Nature Volunteer Day

Date:
Time: to
Act like a bee to work for nature at our monthly volunteer work day. Help build or blaze trails, clean up trash, and restore native habitat!

About this event

This month’s Nature Volunteer Day is at Webster Woods Nature Preserve in Lexington, Indiana. Our tasks for this day will be to work on the trails by painting the blazes and pruning and picking up the trash in the creek while we enjoy a nice hike together. We may even help install posts for new interpretive signs.

Please RSVP so we know how many supplies to bring.

Please wear appropriate shoes, hat, and clothing. Bring your own work gloves and bottle of water. We will be able to refill our water bottles. Bug spray with DEET will be available as well. We will start at 10:00 am and end by 1:00 pm. You can park at the church (driving directions available here).

In the event of high winds or other inclement weather that creates a risk for working in the woods, we will postpone the work day to a later date. Feel free to bring a snack or lunch to enjoy.

We do a volunteer day every month!
